This is our trip home from Nebraska, sort of. This is our trip through Arkansas. The colors were amazing and we spent about 24 hours just in Arkansas. We started in the northwest corner where we drove down I-540 and through a tunnel, and we continued to Mt. Nebo State Park, Mt. Petit Jean State Park, Louisiana Purchase State Park, and finally the Delta Heritage Trail State Park. If you have never been to Arkansas and enjoyed their many beautiful state parks we would recommend them highly. Arkansas is called the Natural State for a reason.  Climbing Mt. We just got back from another trip out west to see family. This trip took 12 days and we traveled over 2600 miles through 10 states(Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Illinois, Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, Arkansas, and Mississippi). We love travelling in the fall as we were able to see some of the most beautiful fall colors on the way. We were able to go to the Gateway Arch in St. Louis and the Katy Trail in Rocheport, Mo. We traveled on the Lewis and Clark trail and the Natchez Trace. We went to the MoPac trail in Wabash, NE and we went to Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo, voted #1 in the nation by Trip Advisor. We visited with family and met some new friends. The colors in Arkansas were amazing but that will be in another post because Arkansas deserves its own blog post. Yesterday we went up to Lookout Mountain in Northeast Alabama. Our intentions were to see if the leaves had changed in the Little River Canyon Preserve. We decided we were going specifically for the purpose of taking some fall pictures of the canyon. We ate at a place called Ralph's Lil' River Canyon. This is a place we would recommend if you are ever in the area, but don't drive too fast and keep your eyes open or else you will miss it, we did. We walked down to Little River Falls and then we went on the scenic drive along the canyon rim. We took many pictures of this beautiful canyon as we stopped at many different lookouts. We met some nice people along the way and were even able to assist some with self portraits. We approached the last lookout and were discussing the trail that was there. This trail was rated arduous and steep. This is the highest rating in the park. As we were talking a lady came up the trail head obviously out of breath. We asked her if it was as har...
