Another Great Day At Cheaha

This Wednesday we decided to go to Cheaha State Park to have a picnic and maybe hike a trail or two. We started with the picnic at the lower park with little excitement with the exception of yellow jackets and a really big caterpillar. When we finished eating we decided to hike the trail that goes from the lower park to the upper park. This trail is only a mile but it is the steepest trail in the park with an elevation rise of about 950ft with most of that the last half. We had some excitement on the trail with a large Japanese hornet nest right over our heads, a European hornet nest at our feet, a beautiful waterfall, a cliff where people repel, some of the most breathtaking views and even a rendezvous with a good friend. This was a great day followed by a second picnic and another beautiful sunset. Praise God for speaking all of this wonderful creation into existence. May all we do glorify Him.
