Lyme's Disease ....OH NO!

Hello Friends, Family and Fellow Hikers,

We have walked over 1100 miles already. We are excited about that as a family. We have seen a lot along this journey and have met a lot of people too. We have stayed with strangers who are now like family and have camped and stayed in churches and hotels. It all has been a blessing to each of us.
We are asking all of our readers and followers to please pray for our daughter, backpacking KatyDid. Our daughter was bitten by a deer tick in Ohio on June 30th,2014. We noticed right away that the bite started to change and get infected. We documented the site and type of tick and kept a close watch on it. The bite became red and itchy and looked like cellulitus. Then she began to run a fever and started having a stiff neck and headache and joints started popping. We were not near any hospitals until today. We searched the internet and our tick guide for tick born illnesses and suspected Lyme's disease but were not positive. We got a ride to the Marion general hospital in Marion,In. There they took 40 cc plus 4 normal tubes of blood from her and started antibiotic treatment immediately. They confirmed she has Lyme's disease. We will continue our walk in love in the morning. We will have to walk slower until she feels better. We pray the antibiotics work, she may have to have more later. Please continue to pray for her.
This cost us a lot of extra money for her medicines, cab rides and extra hotel stay. If you can help us with this unexpected cost please email, call, or message us please. Thank you and God Bless.
